wtf

Korean media is bullshit, you know that? Not everyone, but lots are. Sure, they make good singers and have lots of talented people, but what goes on behind their awesome performances and shows.. is just.. terrible. Of course not every CEO, manager, producer, etc. is an asshole. But lots are.
I forgot how long ago, when Boys Over Flowers Krn was still being broadcasted, an actress, Jang Ja Yeon, suicided. The cause of her suicide was depression, which started 10 years ago when her parents died in a car crash. When she was filming BOF, she was sexual harrased, abused and forced to sleep with CEOs, directors and media executives. The producer was arrested at least later on when they found him in Japan, ass. more info here
Lee Soo Man, CEO of SM Entertainment, under pays his 'slaves' (people under sm contract). Such as Suju, H.O.T., DBSK, SNSD, SHINee, BoA, and more people I don't really care for. HOT was disbanded because they didn't get paid enough, as in around 1 cent per album sold not enough. DBSK is now planning to sue SM because they're also not getting paid enough with their huge popularity. DBSK's profits are 80% to SM and 20% to DBSK split among 5 members. SuJu probably has a harder time because they don't make as much while having to split money amongst 13 members. DBSK sues SM part 1, part 2
NOW, I just read an article, saying how a violin prodigy - Eugene Park - part of US decent is being abused by his Korean agents. They've abused and beaten him, and forced him to take drugs. If you look at his performance many years ago, he seemed full of life. Now if you look at his performance these days, he looks dead and emotionless. And because his agents have a connection to the mafia, it's hard for the police to do anything about this. Source: Korean Beacon

GD. This makes me feel bad for liking krn music >_________>

Cinnamon in potatos

This should be in my rant blog, but eh, it relates to food so I'll post it here.
Yesterday night (I was too lazy to post it yesterday night lol!), aunt made dinner. She stewed some meat, white potatoes, sweet potatoes with cinnamon. Yes, cinnamon, the seasoning which most people use when baking and mostly with apples. Goddamn cinnamon. The stew she made tasted like shit, and she actually was saying how it was pretty good and stuff. Well dad and I hated it lol.

Let this be a reminder to you all, NEVER use cinnamon with potatoes :D

So many books @__@

I went a little crazy yesterday and today. For some reason, I suddenly had this unusual craving to read. I placed so many books on hold, and I still want more ;__;
But its too much lol, not to mention I have to go to Toronto just to borrow books since there's only ONE library in Stouffville - with like nothing I read in it.

Perry's birthday.

I think it was when I was in grade 5, when Tina showed me Perry. That was 5 years ago, when we were all little kids. Wow we've changed.
Today was his 54th birthday. We've all grown up now, but haven't really changed much. Now perry, has changed in some ways. He got type 2 diabetes sometime last year. Now it sucks cause of all the pills he has to take.
But today it was all fun. I'm glad I still get to visit Toronto. My friends and I, along with some kids who still live in 3000 came to his house. I made a seafood noodle stir fry with Perry (CAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE A DAMN RECIPE D: ), and I made him a diabetic cake - that didn't even risk killing him, unlike the two other ice cream cakes we had LOL. Yeah, two ice cream cakes. One Per bought and one some other girl bought. It was damn delicious, but now I feel fat for today LOL. I think that was the first time I ate ice cream in a LONG time. My mom doesn't buy ice cream for me >.> which I'm half glad though :P.
NOW, my two friends got him a StarTrek bobble head person! OMG It looked so cool, with his bobbing head and stuff. It even talked!..cept it got annoying cause it wouldn't shut up LOL. Then there were present other kids got him which I didn't really remember, but there was a cat thing and a dog mug :P And some sketch of a Bleach dude.
Fun day, hope he enjoyed today. Next time I'll cook him something with a recipe .__.

Olivia Care Soap! FINALLY.

I ordered a pack of 4 lavender soaps from Olivia Care about two weeks ago, and FINALLY just got them today. I just took a shower - washed my hair, body, face AND EVEN BRUSHED MY TEETH WITH IT! I swear to god this is the best soap ever. Not only can I already see my blackheads starting to disappear, my hair feels super smooth and I smell like lavender - and not like eggs :< (what I used to wash my hair with - even though eggs made my hair feel just as nice!)
You know, the $31 bucks was TOTALLY worth it. I'm sure the 4 soap bars will last me just as long as bottles of shampoo and conditioner, shitty retail soap and toothpaste(just my opinion). And to make it even better, the dry skin on my feet were rubbing off. Which hasn't happened in like FOREVER. Plus I didn't even mean to wash my feet, the soap bubble thingys just happened to wash my feet while I was shaving I guess LMAO. This soap beats shitty retail cleaning products any day.

<3!

MUSIC

My fav song Epik High featuring someone. Songs COMPLETELY explains my love for music ;O

A little fruit crazy?

Gotta love fruits ;) can't live without my bananas LOL. I made a HUGE mistake buying like 7 pounds of different fruits. Now the nectarines are slowly becoming soft, the bananas are getting more ripe and the plums look weird o_o So I had 1 of each fruit this morning 8D.

That's a lot of carbs lol

work and feet

LMAO I never knew how tiring work gets. Well.. not tiring, but my feet start hurting like shit after 3 hours ish. I counted. I blame my close to flat arch. It's no wonder I could NEVER run.

BUT.. work is fun. Even though I did mess up a few times, I'm finally getting the hang of it. So far I've met two going to gr12ers from my school. Now I just hope I get a shift with Ellin sometime in the future. The only problem I have at work is..I'm short. I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING. Emily, a going to gr12er, is sooo tall. I had to ask her twice to get stuff for me cause I'm too damn short. I couldn't reach a donut in the back on the top shelf! >.> That's just completely fail.

The good thing is, mom and I went shoe shopping after the dentist appointment which was after work. Safety leather shoes with an arch - a shoe that actually has an arch! Thank god. Hope it feels better than my running shoes. No, actually. Thank my mom's job's insurance to cover the goddamn expensive shoes. But the bad thing is, we didn't have time to visit my doctor after shoe shopping ): Mom was gonna get my doctor - Dr. Peter Pang (yes, peter pang) - to prescribe me feet arch thingys to make my feet less flat ): oh well I guess next time, and hopefully before school starts. Cause I really want less flat feet for fitness class.

Next shift in 1 week, wtf? ):

weird kiwi

Mom came home today with 2 kiwis. 2. When most of the time she comes home with a box. So when I asked her why'd she only buy two, she said they were expensive New Zealand kiwis - 2 for $1. Now that's an expensive kiwi considering most come in boxes of costing like 3 bucks?
This is a special kiwi. It didn't have the normal fur normal kiwis have. It tasted a little different, in a good way, and the top was weird looking.

O: I FINALLY found it on google. It's called a gold kiwi (?? lolwtf). Dang picture's big. But you can see the 'New Zealand" tag on it :D

Shitty gun piercings

About a month ago I think, I saw a forum post on soompi about piercings, and how gun piercings are horrible. So I was like - ohshit, I have 3 gun pierced ears, eh whatever I'm not gonna get another piercing anyways. Once that was past, I didn't care much about it.

But then, today again, I actually googled about gun piercings. I found articles like this one and this one. And again, I was like - OOHHHSHITTT.
If you read both articles, they both say things about how the gun uses a blunt stud that is forced into the tissue, which may leave scarring, pain, and other complications. (Pain, being the one I had to go through my first week of 2 ear piercings). Most of times, the piercing gun is not properly sterilized, a alcohol wipe isn't sterilization - so there a a chance that the gun can pass on hepatitis and other diseases.
The Body Modification Ezine (BME) says that "Ear piercing guns are inaccurate and not designed for piercing most body parts resulting in improper piercing placement." Not to mention the fact that guns were originally used to tag the ears of cows (YES. COWS.) - and is only intended for earlobes. "Even the people who MAKE AND SELL piercing guns say it's dangerous to pierce anywhere else." Yet a lot of places use guns to pierce cartilages and other body parts. This causes a lot of problems such as deformities and shattered cartilages. (thank god I only got piercings through my flesh >__> even though it isn't much better)
Now if you look at needle piercings, you'll see that there's almost no problems with it. Trained piercing professionals makes sure that the needle used for piercing is properly sterilized.

Now now, there's way too much information on how bad gun piercings are. I suggest you read the first article above, not soompi.

If there's one place I know that had about..hm...3487293871 different gun piercing places, it's Pmall. Pacific Mall, in Toronto, being the place I used to live in. It's probably the most azn place I'll ever be in, cheap stuff, horrible quality, and shitty UNPROFESSIONAL gun piercers. Now a friend-ish person I know, Jen G. She got her earlobes pierced at pmall with a gun. It actually got infected, and scared (her mom and her told and showed me this) These are two things that the article said would happen, and did happen. Since it was only her earlobes, it was a less risk than any other part of the body, and yet it still happened.

People are considered lucky if their skin tissue heals perfectly without any scarring, dieases and other deformalities. I always wondered why my ear piercings hurted the most out of my friends when we got our ears pierced. It's cause I was partially unlucky and my skin tissue must've ripped from the force or something. My third piercing - also done by a stupid gun - actually got infected a few months ago. It was HORRIBLE. My ear would not stop hurting, but healed after a few days with the help rubbing alcohol. Even though rubbing alcohol only removes some bacteria, I'm glad it helped.

Just compare the pictures. The left picturs are of my third piercing on my right ear when it got infected. the right pictures are of my left unpierced, not infected ear. ughh infection looks disgusting :x

I love soybeans and the lottery

Gotta love soybeans, dad bought me 2 crates of Edamames (soybeans in a pod). Yes, two crates of like 30 bags? I ate one whole bag of soybeans after my workout >.> lmao that was a lot of protein. :))

Mom and few friends at her company has this thing, where they buy lottery tickets together and share the money. One friend of hers gave her some money to buy a ticket, and when mom just checked out the numbers today, she got 4 out of 6. LOL! that's friggen amazing. $60 divided by mom and her friend. I think its funny thought.
So then my dad comes home with another lottery ticket, saying how he'll win jackpot next week XDD. crazy dad. That'd be so freaking awesome if he did LOL, and on his first try.

WTF?

I'm sorry to say I've never seen anything like this. Premade croutons, bacon bits, parmesan cheese and dressing in one itty bitty package.
THIS:

My mom brought it home, and I was like wtf is this? 6 bucks, for this. Something worth like 2 bucks. Can't say I'm not surprised though. People these days just get lazier and lazier... and lazier, and lazier, AND LAZIER. At least you have to add you're own lettuce. It is so hard just to buy parmesan cheese, bacon, bread, dressing and lettuce? OR EVEN BETTER, already grated parmesan, bacon bits, premade croutons and already cut lettuce?
No, I guess not. They made this. Premade everything >.>

So mom was like, "lets make this!"
And I did. This was the final masterpiece >>

Not THAT bad. Shitty camera though.
Only thing about this is that theres SOOO MUCH additives.
This is unrefridgerated parmesan, bacon, and croutons. Dressing's never refridgerated in grocery stores anyways. But still, imagine how long its been on shelves.
And ughh, there were so many ingredients which half I couldn't pronouce (okay maybe I could, but most I didn't recongize).
Bleh, can't believe I ate this shit ):

HP Pavilion dv9005 ca

The left hinge broke due to bad design (that I read), and apparently, there was a major recall on the dv9000s and dv6000s. HP was actually offering to fix it for free, but this offer ended on May31, 2009. The left hinge broke before this date, but of course, mom and Leo tells me that nooo, its only a little crack, don't worry about it, you can still use it for another 2 years.
SO...
BAM.
few months later. BOOM. hinge cracks even more. AND THEN, i find out about the free fixing, a month and half after the offer. And now its around $200 to fix, which is like half of a shitty laptop >.>
ugh, so then yesterday, I sent them a email telling them my problem and asking if they could fix it for free. This is there reply:

"Hello Betty,

Thank you for contacting HP Total Care.

From the e-mail received I understand the hinge of the HP Pavilion dv9005ca Notebook PC is broken and needs to taken in for Mail-in repair service.

I appreciate you for writing the concern to us and apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. I at HP Total Care would certainly assist you with the issue up to the best of my skills and abilities.

As the unit is out of manufacturer’s warranty for last five hundred and seventy-seven days the service of taking the notebook for Mail-in repair is chargeable. "
